Abhi, Jacque, Colt, Christian and Mees in Odar. In upper right part of the picture there is a huge cliff which is why this place is called the "village under the rock" or in Nepali: "Odar".

From a distance one can see the rock in the right side of the picture. There was a ladder one could use to climp the rock and Pilgrims left their prayer flags here.

This photo gives en impression of the entire village. It gave us a long day, but it was a great decision as it was one of the most authentic places we saw on the whole trek - seemingly it was completely unaffected by tourism.

We had even more stairs to climb after leaving Odar.

As we were trekking in the winter we didn't get to see many green fields. Cows were grassing on these fields - multiple times they came running fast through the village so everyone had to get out of the way quickly.

Mees dooing what we were told multiple times not to do - always stay on the inner side of the road in order not to get knocked over the edge by the animals - there was plenty of room on this road though.

We celebrated new years at this great lodge that also had hot showers and good food. We left a vast amount of money here - it was good business for the place to catch us just at new years eve and to make it even better it was a very long day. We went all the way from 1960m in Dharapani to 2710m in Chame.
